Aquacalc DataLink Pro

The AquaCalc DataLink Pro software is used to download completed measurements from an AquaCalc to a Microsoft Windows computer. This newer version includes:

The ability to connect to more serial communication ports. DataLink Pro will now connect to COM ports 1 thru 16. This increased capability makes it easier to use the software with USB to Serial adapters, for those computers (like many new laptops) without built-in serial ports.
The ability to specify default locations to import from and export to. In addition, temporary files are handled better so that the program can be used in restricted security companies.
The AquaCalc Pro Analyzer. One button click will open your measurement in an Excel spreadsheet that graphs the measurement for quality control review, reformats the output into more readable formats, including a 5x8 size, and allows you to edit the data outside of the AquaCalc and re-calculate the total discharge. (Note: You must have Microsoft Excel™ installed for this option to work.)

Do you have Microsoft Excel?

To work properly, this new version of the AquaCalc DataLink Pro must have either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft ActiveX Control Pad installed, whether or not .

If you do not have Microsoft Excel installed, run the included setup program for the Microsoft ActiveX Control Pad. A shortcut for this setup program will be placed in the “JBS Instruments” Windows Start Menu folder when the AquaCalc DataLink Pro setup is completed. Simply click this item in the Start Menu

Download AquaCalc DataLink Pro

This download includes the AquaCalc Pro Analyzer Excel spreadsheet. You do not need to download the Analyzer it separately. This version of DataLink Pro includes a button that will automatically open and import your measurement into the Analyzer. To download click the following link:

Installation Instructions:

Download the AquaCalc_DataLink_Pro_Setup_2_x_x.exe file (using the link above) to your hard disk. This is a self-extracting compressed file containing the files necessary to setup the AquaCalc DataLink Pro program on your computer.
Run this file by double-clicking on the icon in Windows Explorer. The compressed files will be extracted to a temporary location on your hard disk, and the Setup program will start. You may be asked to restart your computer. Follow the on-screen directions to complete your installation.
If you do not have Microsoft Excel installed: Run the “Microsoft ActiveX Control Pad Setup” program available in the newly installed “JBS Instruments” folder on your Windows Start Menu (Start > Programs > JBS Instruments > . This will install support files normally provided by Excel.
Start the DataLink program and consult the “How to Use DataLink” from the Help menu for information on using the program. Please contact JBS for help.)

The AquaCalc Pro Analyzer

This new version of DataLink Pro includes an Excel spreadsheet called the AquaCalc Pro Analyzer that will open a section discharge measurement from an AquaCalc Pro with one button click.

Note: You must have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer and click the “Enable Macros” button if asked. The Analyzer will not work with output from older AquaCalc 5000 models, although you may use DataLink Pro to download the measurement.

The Analyzer imports the open measurement, plots it on a graph, and formats it for printing in two sizes: letter and a 5” x 8” front sheet size. The Analyzer will recalculate the measurement by default, thereby letting you make corrections to a measurement outside of the AquaCalc.

To work properly, this new version of the AquaCalc DataLink Pro must have either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft ActiveX Control Pad installed.

AquaCalc Pro Analyzer

The AquaCalc Pro Analyzer Excel spreadsheet is installed with DataLink Pro. It is not necessary to download the AquaCalc Analyzer if you have installed the latest DataLink Pro.

The AquaCalc Pro Analyzer spreadsheets can be downloaded separately, it is not necessary to download and install the entire DataLink program if changes have been made only to the AquaCalc Analyzer.

After downloading and saving the new version of Analyzer to your hard disk (we recommend saving it in the AquaCalc DataLink Pro program folder, or in your My Documents folder or a sub-folder), open DataLink and select the “Settings” button, and point DataLink to the new Analyzer file using the File Locations > Analyzer section.
